Electronics in the car sector have developed strongly over the last twenty years or so, in terms of fittings and engine mechanisms. With the arrival of mass-produced electric and hybrid vehicles, electro-technology- and electronics-based professions will be part of manufacturers’ “core activities”, with the electric engine/battery combination as the new master part.
This technological transformation implies important changes in the organisation of the car sector. New practices, methods and expertise: numerous professions will thus evolve, from design to after-sales, not forgetting those linked to infrastructure and associated services.
In order to adapt to this new technological order, the players of the car world - manufacturers, OEMs and the commercial and after-sales networks – will resort to training, which is compulsory for personnel to requalify. Supply in terms of training keeps growing, which would indicate great prospects for employment and professional opportunities.
It’s certainly a reminder that the electric vehicle is not just a technical and technological adventure but also a story of men and women.
