Within the framework of the company's partnership with the French Education Department, the SNCF recently launched a learning programme aimed at "increasing adolescent awareness on eco-mobility".
Baptised "
Mobil'idées", the programme offers teachers (from P4 to sixth form)
resources on eco-mobility that are perfectly in line with official learning programmes.
Jointly developed with teachers themselves, and in partnership with
LeWebPédagogique, the web's leading educational community, this programme will enable teachers to approach the subject of
eco-mobility during geography (decoding maps) or maths (calculating CO2 levels) lessons, thanks to videos and free downloadable learning aids.
Thus, a number of different themes can be analysed:
preserving biodiversity, green transport or eco-design (accounting for a product's impact on the environment as from its very conception).
''Mobil'idées'' will endeavour to offer pupils an enlightening insight into
''the impact of various modes of transport on the environment, the ecological, economic and social stakes involved in today's and tomorrow's mobility…" and should help them to improve their own behaviour with eco-mobility in mind.
