Annual Energy Outlook 2010 - With Projections to 2035
Subject: In its annual report, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates that the global targets for reducing CO2 emissions have not been hit and that greenhouse gas emissions could increase by 43% by 2035. These emissions will notably come from those countries experiencing strong economic growth, such as China and India, who should expect to see their demand for electricity explode. This is why it is advocating the implementation of a restrictive international agreement in order to promote the emergence of alternative energy sources.
Boost! Transforming the powertrain value chain – a portfolio challenge

Subject: This report analyses the future of the automotive market, identifying electric mobility as one of the key drivers behind its development. It predicts coexistence between different technologies while stipulating that electric vehicles could represent between 20% and 35% of the automotive market. Using three defined scenarios, the study examines the different transitions facing the automotive sector between now and 2030, in terms of technology, employment and energy.

Cities for living, 2010

Subject: This survey, carried out in 7 metropolises in 4 continents, brings together around 7,000 individuals’ opinions about their cities. From São Paulo to Cairo, via London, it highlights city dwellers’ expectations, by establishing a typology of relationships with the city. Opinions are analysed according to localisation criteria and also by sex, age and family structure.

The report concludes with a “panorama” composed of a fact sheet for each city, presenting the study’s key figures, with a focus on environmental preoccupations.
