Plug-in electric vehicles: Changing perceptions, hedging bets

Subject: This Accenture survey, conducted among over 7,000 people in 13 countries, reveals consumers’ motivations in the context of the move towards electric vehicles. This study examines respondents’ preferences in terms of charging infrastructures and compares the advantages of EVs and PHEVs. The results provide an interesting perspective as far as the network management, electricity production and pricing structure of the future are concerned.

Prospects for electric vehicles: cost-benefit and potential demand analysis

Subject: This study, undertaken out by the French General Commission for Sustainable Development, presents the various prospects for the evolution of electric and rechargeable hybrid vehicle sales in France from 2010 to 2020, through an analysis of the recent results of the National Transport and Travel Survey (Enquête Nationale Transports Déplacements, ENTD 2008). The study also details all potential costs and benefits compared to “classic” vehicles.
