How to revive European mobility policy?

Subject: The transport sector remains a challenge for Europe, which has not succeeded in putting a homogeneous transport policy in place between Member States. This is why today only a voluntarist supranational policy will be able to meet these environmental challenges by offering a European sustainable mobility policy, as an efficient alternative to the establishment of an internal market.

         However, in this field, a strongly integrated voluntarist European policy constitutes a pressing necessity, firstly in the face of the climate issue but also because of the challenge issued to European industry by emerging countries. By putting all the necessary instruments in place, this policy should aim to make Europe into a global player in terms of transport and to transform the European economy into the most competitive and most dynamic sustainable mobility  economy in the world.
